With many steps to take care of before takeoff, like purchasing and introducing your pet to the crate they will travel in, visiting the vet for a clean bill of health, and getting closer to the flight removing your pet from the environments they are accustomed to and comfortable in.
For a pet, being restricted to a crate while entering an unknown environment with new sights, sounds, and smells, and being separated from their owner for long periods of time can cause extreme stress.
