Mantle
With builtin cabinets originally made to house a tube TV and a fireplace lacking character, my parents 1970’s living room was ready for a small update.
I envisioned and designed a simple low cost upgrade that added a traditional mantle above the fireplace and utilized elements of the existing builtins to bring more balance and symmetry to the space.

I started out by measuring the space and creating a CAD environment where I could iterate on different mantle, cabinet and shelf options.
